Guidelines for secure international cooperation
All members of the University who work and collaborate in international contexts can find information and advice in Universität Hamburg’s guidelines on planning and minimizing the risks of international cooperation.
Against the background of the right to academic freedom, it is incumbent on the individual to act freely in international academia. At the same time, Universität Hamburg is responsible for protecting the University and its members from possible risks and dangers as best it can.
The guidelines aim to enable international cooperation, to support Universität Hamburg members with establishing and drawing up contracts, and to raise awareness among the University’s members by providing information on possible risks so that they can operate securely in an international context.
Drafting process
The guidelines were developed by the Gestaltung der internationalen Kooperationen (design of international cooperation) working group, various departments of the University Administration, and representatives of the faculties or their offices of the dean and approved by the University leadership. The guidelines are a live document and will be continuously updated. For questions or a consultation, contact the person listed below.
